Loop's 56-yard winner and Raiders rally shape Sunday late NFL window

Four games kicked off in the late Sunday NFL window. All four are final, but they got there by different routes: Baltimore needed a 56-yard field goal as time expired in Rio de Janeiro, Las Vegas erased an 11-point deficit in New Orleans, and San Francisco survived a late Arizona push. Minnesota won in Tampa Bay behind a punt-return touchdown and two long fourth-quarter field goals. The September 27 NFL scoreboard confirms the four final scores.

Seven seconds in Rio

Dallas tied its game with Baltimore at 31 with seven seconds left. Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers for 27 yards, the Ravens called timeout with a second left, and Tyler Loop made a 56-yard kick for a 34-31 Baltimore win. The sequence rewarded a Ravens team that had just surrendered the lead after Dallas drove inside the Baltimore 2. The NFL's Sunday video captures the decisive kick.

A comeback in New Orleans

The Saints led 27-16 late in the third quarter. Mike Washington Jr.'s 36-yard touchdown run started Las Vegas' answer, and a reviewed Tyler Shough fumble gave the Raiders a short field for the go-ahead score. Kirk Cousins later found Brock Bowers for the touchdown that completed a 35-27 Raiders win. Bowers, back after missing two games with a knee injury, finished with 10 catches for 116 yards and a score. The NFL posted the Cousins-to-Bowers play from this game.

The other two finals

San Francisco's 23-6 second-half lead almost disappeared. Jacoby Brissett and Arizona narrowed the gap to two, but Brock Purdy's fourth touchdown pass, a 20-yarder to George Kittle, gave the 49ers room to finish a 36-30 win. The day's opening 82-yard hook-and-ladder, ending with Deebo Samuel in the end zone, supplied one of the window's most striking plays.

Minnesota made special teams count in Tampa. Myles Price took a punt back 86 yards for a touchdown, and Will Reichard's fourth-quarter field goals from 56 and 43 yards protected a 23-16 Vikings win. The Buccaneers had erased an early deficit but could not match those late points.
