Case Keenum had not started an NFL game since December 2023. On Monday night, with Caleb Williams out because of a hamstring injury, he led Chicago to a 27-7 win over Philadelphia. Keenum threw two touchdowns without an interception, added a one-yard scoring run and watched the Bears' defense take the ball away three times. The final score and box score are recorded in ESPN's game feed for event 401872963.
Chicago scored on its opening possession when Keenum found Luther Burden III for an eight-yard touchdown. The lead was 10-7 at halftime after Jalen Hurts scored on a one-yard run as the second quarter expired. Earlier, Hurts had left briefly for a concussion check following a late hit; reserve Andy Dalton's pass was intercepted in the end zone by rookie Dillon Thieneman. Hurts returned, but Philadelphia never scored again.
The second-half separation came from two different parts of the Bears' offense. Cairo Santos kicked a 48-yard field goal, then Keenum connected with Kalif Raymond for a 41-yard touchdown that stretched the lead to 20-7. Raymond finished with six catches for 90 yards. A 13-play Bears drive consumed more than eight minutes in the fourth quarter and ended with Keenum's rushing touchdown. The NFL posted video of that score from the game.

Chicago's defense completed the result. T.J. Edwards intercepted Hurts late in the third quarter, and the Eagles finished with three turnovers against no Chicago giveaways. Philadelphia managed 248 total yards and converted only two of nine third downs; Chicago had 375 yards and held the ball for 36 minutes, 53 seconds. The Bears' official account posted a video roundup of the defensive work after the final whistle.
Keenum finished 24 of 34 for 247 yards and the two passing scores. Hurts was 16 of 25 for 153 yards, one interception and the Eagles' only touchdown. Saquon Barkley gained 82 yards on 15 carries. For roster managers, the one-game production came from a replacement quarterback and a receiver who turned six catches into 90 yards; future roles depend on Williams' hamstring status and Chicago's next depth chart. The Bears move to 2-1 and the Eagles fall to 2-1. Williams was on the NFL's inactive list; Tyson Bagent, cleared from concussion protocol, backed up Keenum. Chicago hosts the Jets next Sunday, while Philadelphia hosts the Rams. Bears left tackle Braxton Jones left in the third quarter with a knee injury, according to the AP recap carried by ESPN. His status for next week needs a team update.
