  • Washington ruled guard Sam Cosmi and safety Nick Cross out Tuesday for Sunday's game against Indianapolis in London. The Commanders said neither player would travel with the team that night, settling two availability questions before the overseas practice week begins.

The team listed Cosmi with a concussion and throat injury and Cross with an illness. Those are the designations in Washington's announcement; the club did not provide a return date for either player.

  • The decision means Washington must prepare for another game without two players listed in starting spots on its unofficial depth chart. Cosmi appears at right guard and Cross at strong safety on the Week 4 chart released Tuesday. That chart describes the roster, while the later injury announcement establishes that both will miss the Colts game.

  • Hogs Haven's Scott Jennings reported that Washington could use the same arrangement it deployed against Seattle: Lucas Patrick at center and Nick Allegretti at right guard, with Quan Martin alongside Jeremy Reaves at safety. Those combinations are recent personnel context, rather than a newly announced starting lineup for Sunday.

Washington's official snap report shows how much work those players already handled. Allegretti played all 69 offensive snaps against Seattle, while Patrick played 65. Reaves logged 63 of 67 defensive snaps and Martin played 58. The Colts preparation therefore begins with reserves and movable pieces who have already carried substantial workloads.

There is another safety status to follow. Reporter Ben Standig said Percy Butler would travel after entering concussion protocol following the Seattle game. Making the trip does not establish that Butler has cleared the protocol or will be active Sunday.

  • The wider injury picture remains open. Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Jayden Daniels, Frankie Luvu and Chig Okonkwo would travel and participate in practice in some capacity. Washington's account of that update explicitly left their Sunday availability unresolved.

For fantasy and roster planning, Cosmi and Cross can now be removed from this week's availability questions. The identity and workload of their replacements, Butler's clearance and Daniels' practice progression still require the coming team reports. An offensive line change alone does not establish a different rushing or passing workload for Washington's skill players.
