Rams sign Dean Connors to active roster and waive Tanner Ingle
Connors moves up after a Week 3 elevation, with his immediate contribution coming on special teams behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

The Rams signed running back Dean Connors from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday and waived safety Tanner Ingle. The team's transaction log confirmed both moves after Connors appeared in Sunday's loss to Denver as a temporary elevation.
Connors had returned to the practice squad after that game before receiving an active-roster contract. The change follows the Rams' September 23 move placing running back Ronnie Rivers on injured reserve. Los Angeles also signed safety Maximus Pulley off Philadelphia's practice squad that day.
The transaction gives Connors a place on the 53-man roster rather than relying on another game-week elevation. It does not make him an announced replacement for Kyren Williams or Blake Corum in the offensive backfield.

Blaine Grisak's Tuesday report for Rams on SI identified the work that Connors handled against Denver: a 23-yard return on the opening kickoff and four additional snaps on the punt-return unit. Grisak reported that McVay had said before the game it was unlikely Connors would receive carries or offensive snaps with Williams and Corum available.
That distinction matters for roster evaluation. A running back can earn an active-roster place through kicking-unit work even when his offensive opportunities remain limited. Connors' completed promotion is evidence of the Rams keeping that contribution available, rather than proof of a new share of rushing attempts.
Ingle's departure also changes the special-teams options. Grisak reported that he had committed a special-teams penalty against the Giants. Pulley had not played on special teams against Denver, according to the same report. Tuesday's transactions do not confirm who will take every vacated assignment when Los Angeles visits Philadelphia.
The Rams' earlier roster log shows Connors among their August 31 practice-squad additions after the initial cut to 53 players. His Week 3 elevation and Tuesday signing mark the next steps in that roster path. For managers following the backfield, the confirmed news is a new active depth player with recent special-teams work; an offensive role still needs to be demonstrated on the field.
